26 Postures. 2 Breathing Exercises. 105 degrees Fahrenheit. 90 minutes.

Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class is a twenty-six asana series designed to scientifically warm and stretch muscles, ligaments and tendons, in the order in which they should be stretched.

The class never changes, the order of the postures remains consistent. The brilliance of this sequence systematically moves fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring all systems to healthy working order. Proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well-being will automatically follow.

How quickly you progress will depend entirely on you -- upon your natural ability to a small extent, but mostly upon the time and effort you give to your practice. Overall it has little to do with how "perfectly" you can do the poses, but rather "how" you do them. Bikram loves to remind us: "There is only one way: the right way. And the right way is the hard way."

This practice is all about you, and your own progression from the point at which you began. Bikram often tells new students: "Take this class EVERY DAY for 2 monhts and you will have a new life... that's a promise." Most studios offer students who complete the 30 day challenge a free month of yoga which allows students to take Bikram up on his word. (Each studio is different, so ask your teachers.)
